Taylor Swift is quickly becoming a regular at Travis Kelce’s football games, and was in attendance once again yesterday at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer him on as the Chiefs took on the Chargers. Swift has long sent messages to her fans through her fashion choices, and yesterday’s bracelets seemed to hint at her burgeoning relationship with Kelce. For the occasion, Swift wore a vintage Chiefs sweatshirt, a black, pleated tennis skirt, and Reformation’s Lolita platform loafers, but it’s her bracelets we want to discuss.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted that Swift was wearing a friendship bracelet that featured an “87” and hearts, a reference to Kelce’s jersey number. The custom bracelet retails for just $21 from brand Erimish, and according to the brand’s Instagram, was seemingly gifted to Swift by Patrick Mahomes’s mom, Randi. Not only is this her first time clearly wearing jewelry that points very clearly to him, it harkens back to the rumored start of their relationship, when Kelce shared he tried to gift Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it at her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City.
In addition to the friendship bracelet, Swift accessorized with three other meaningful fine jewelry bracelets. Her right wrist featured celebrity-loved brand FoundRae, wearing a chain that featured their “Enamel Miniature Medallion.” According to the brand, “this miniature heart love token medallion celebrates the seven classic types of love.”
FoundRae is all about signifying deeper meanings; as FoundRae founder Beth Hutchens recently told T&C, “The story of jewelry—what it means to you, where you wore it, why you chose that symbolism—is so much more important than the weight of the gold,”
On her left wrist, in addition to the ’87’ friendship bracelet, Swift wore two Jacqueline Aiche bracelets, according to Sarah Kucharski of Taylor Swift Style. One bracelet featured an evil eye emerald, and the other featured seven diamonds. Per Matches Fashion, “The Evil Eye is a recurring symbol in Jacquie Aiche’s work showcased by this lightweight bracelet and is thought to protect the wearer from ill intent.”
So if you’re looking to dress up as Swift (and Kelce) for Halloween, or just hoping to channel Swift’s stadium style, some meaningful bracelets are a key part of any outfit.
