Sophia Bush’s new rumored romance to former USWNT soccer player Ashlyn Harris has sparked speculation online. “After being friends for years, and running in the same social circles, Sophia and Ashlyn went out on their first dinner date a couple of weeks ago,” a source told People. “This is so recent, and they are both beginning new chapters.”
Namely, there’s been drama surrounding the timeline of when Bush and Harris reportedly got together. Bush separated from husband Grant Hughes two months ago, and Harris filed for divorce from soccer star Ali Krieger last month. Speculation on the timeline of their romance intensified after Krieger, who plays for NWSL team Gotham FC, wrote on Instagram, “Preparing for playoffs while in my Beyoncé lemonade era.” Lemonade, Beyoncé’s hit 2016 album, details the singer’s response to Jay Z’s rumored infidelity.
As perhaps a response to these rumors, Bush was spotted at Los Angeles International airport this week wearing Princess Diana’s famed black sheep sweater, in photos obtained by TMZ.
Princess Diana first wore the sweater when she attended a polo match of then-Prince Charles, just one month before they were married. She wore it again (a slightly different version, after the original was damaged) in 1983, sending a message through her fashion that she perhaps felt like a black sheep in the royal family.

In 2020, Warm & Wonderful, who created the original sweater for Diana, reissued the design in collaboration with Rowing Blazers. It’s likely this version that Bush was spotted wearing, perhaps signaling to the world that she feels ostracized as details of her alleged new romance become public.
