Since its conception over 100 years ago, Rimowa has set the standard for first class travel accoutrements. Now, the brand is opening its trunks to the public with an inside look into the luxury luggage and the stars that carry it. The second stop on a global tour, Rimowa curated a selection specially picked for the city that never sleeps. Sharing its rich heritage with a special exhibition, the pioneering designs are being displayed in NYC’s Chelsea Factory, once home to photographer Annie Liebowitz.
Featuring iconic collabs with Dior and Off-White and pieces that marked milestones in the infamous grooved structure we have come to know, guests are invited on a trip through lifetimes of continuous innovation. Stepping into the exhibit, you are transported back in time to a retro airport lounge complete with flight attendants in vintage uniforms. After getting your ticket, you make your way onto the tarmac and into the museum.
As you embark on your journey and admire the brand’s most iconic pieces, which includes everything from a champagne trunk to high fashion collaborations, Rimowa ensures you get there in style. The limited engagement shows the transformation of the brand, never sacrificing its craftsmanship and establishing itself as the luggage of legends.
The exhibit is free and open to the public through September 17th. Click here to book.
