As someone who is both a royal style watcher and commerce writer obsessed with finding insane deals, I’m keeping a watchful eye out for royal-worn items included in the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale coming October 10 and 11. I’m happy to report that many Meghan Markle-approved fashion brands will be included in the new, pre-Black Friday version of Amazon Prime Day. That includes her go-to Adidas Ultraboost sneakers, which you can snag at a steep discount right now thanks to an early Amazon Prime Big Deal Days fashion sale.
Most notably, Meghan wore the black and white colorway of the Adidas Ultraboost 19 sneakers to her son Archie’s baby shower in February 2019. While the exact Ultraboost 19 model Meghan wore is no longer in production, Adidas offers an updated version, the Adidas Ultraboost 22, that’s even more comfortable and responsive. And, it’s available in multiple color options for up to 50% off (!) on Amazon, even though the October Prime Day isn’t for a few more weeks.
In a 2021 press release, Adidas shared that the upgraded Ultraboosts were developed by an all-women team, who used an online anatomy database of 1.2 million foot scans to inform their research and design. They identified “key differences across instep height, heel anatomy and females’ gait cycle trends and re-engineered and refined the Ultraboost to better reflect the female foot.” The new-and-improved model features a narrower heel pocket, a shallower forefoot profile, a lower instep area, and a refined outsole designed to prevent overpronation.
Another equally important improvement: Adidas Ultraboosts are now made with yarns that contain at least 50 percent upcycled ocean plastic. They’re perfect for styling with other eco-conscious pieces from royal favorites like Stella McCartney, Reformation, and Everlane, weekend errands, or travel day. Not only are Ultraboost sneakers incredibly comfortable and supportive during workouts, but they’re also stylish and versatile enough to wear with athleisure and casual outfits.
Perhaps that’s why Meghan Markle isn’t the shoe’s only celebrity fan. Over the past few months, they’ve been spotted on Jessica Alba, Olivia Wilde, Rita Ora, Priyanka Chopra, Karlie Kloss, and Carrie Underwood, just to name a few. So why not try a pair for yourself to see what all the hype is about? Even though Amazon Prime Big Deal Days 2023 has yet to officially start, you can still grab a number of Adidas Ultraboost running shoes at a discount—along with other royal-worn sneakers like the Adidas Stan Smith.
