Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford made a twinning appearance at a Planet Omega event in New York City last night.
The mother and daughter coordinated in all-black outfits, each model putting her own personal twist on the monochromatic palette.
Gerber emulated this season’s ballet-core trend in a feminine set from Alaïa, which consisted of a skintight turtleneck bodysuit tucked into a pleated jersey miniskirt. She paired the sophisticated look with sheer black tights and classic black satin pumps.
As for Crawford, the iconic supermodel looked effortlessly glamorous in a black midi dress featuring a modest V neckline and puffy mid-length sleeves. She finished off her look with black heeled boots and a rectangular black clutch.
Both women accessorized sparingly, showing off gold Omega watches on their wrists.
In a 2019 interview, Gerber opened up about her mother’s influence on her modeling career.
“If anyone had a point of reference, I definitely did and one of the best ones,” she said. “For me [modeling] wasn’t a foreign world to go into and I felt like I understood it. I knew what I was kind of getting into. I’d been around it a lot. I definitely think there are some things that no matter how much somebody can tell you about, there were a lot of things you do have to learn firsthand. So for me it was, it was definitely less scary to go into. I have so much appreciation for women like my mom and for the other girls who come who don’t know anything. A lot of the times, English isn’t even their first language. I had a unique experience going into the industry.”
