J.Crew is going all out for its 40th anniversary! Earlier this week, the heritage retailer threw a stylish star-studded pre-NYFW bash at the scenic Pier 17 in Manhattan with a 30-minute performance by The Strokes. Now, the brand—known for it’s all-American style that has long been loved by celebrities, royals, and editors from around the world—is continuing the celebration with a new special coffee table book in collaboration with luxury publisher Assouline.
Titled Forty Years of American Style, the commemorative tome looks back at J.Crew’s most memorable moments from over the last four decades. Some of what you can expect inside? The pages are packed with catalog covers and in-depth details about iconic collaborations and collections that have made the label it is today. The book is also brimming with J.Crew stories and commentary by famous contributors including Jenna Lyons—who joined the label in 1990 and went onto be its executive creative director and president until 2017—as well as Anna Wintour, Jimmy Fallon, Eva Chen, Adam Scott, and more. Additionally, it features a minimal off-white cover emblazoned with J.Crew in bold letters that is bound to make a chic accent in any living room, no matter your style.
Forty Years of American Style retails for $125 and is available today for those with a J.Crew rewards account. But if you’re not a member, you can sign up here. Or you can wait until Tuesday, September 12 when the book will officially be available for the public. Better shop fast though—copies are limited and we except these to fly off shelves quickly!
