Emma Watson Is Fall Perfection in Knit Sweater and Miniskirt at Milan Fashion Week

Posted on September 25, 2023

On Friday, Emma Watson stepped out for Milan Fashion Week in a perfect early fall outfit, donning a cozy oversized white knit sweater with a mock turtleneck. She wore the top with a sharp navy mini skirt decorated with large gold buttons. On her feet were a pair of nude heels with pointed toes, and she carried a white handbag by Prada with gold hardware.

The actress had her golden brown hair down in thick waves around her shoulders and was wearing a natural makeup palette. She was photographed as she left her hotel for another show during a busy week.

On Thursday, Watson attended the Prada Spring/Summer 2024 Womenswear show in a sleek little black dress with a halter neckline and short hem. She was carrying a black version of her Prada handbag and wore black pumps with pointed toes. Her hair was straightened and partially pulled back from her face.

In recent years, Watson has pulled back from acting, but still makes frequent public appearances, especially around fashion events. In an interview with the Financial Times last year, she shared a bit about why she stepped back from the spotlight.

“I wasn’t very happy, if I’m being honest,” she said, explaining it was especially taxing to do press tours for her high-profile film projects, like Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast.

“To stand in front of a film and have every journalist be able to say, ‘How does this align with your viewpoint?’ It was very difficult to have to be the face and the spokesperson for things where I didn’t get to be involved in the process,” she continued.

“I was held accountable in a way that I began to find really frustrating, because I didn’t have a voice, I didn’t have a say. And I started to [realize] that I only wanted to stand in front of things where if someone was going to give me flak about it, I could say, in a way that didn’t make me hate myself, ‘Yes, I screwed up, it was my decision, I should have done better.’”

Watson said she “absolutely” intends to act again, but she’s “happy to sit and wait for the next right thing” to come along.
